My Approach

I offer integrative therapy for individuals and couples, drawing on both depth-oriented and practical approaches to explore the underlying patterns shaping emotions, relationships, and purpose—supporting meaningful change, self-understanding, and connection.

My path to becoming a therapist began, like many, with my own therapy. I first sought help to work through creative blocks in my filmmaking and the anxiety that came with them. The scope of the work soon widened toward finding meaning and value beyond production. A few years later, a close friend died of cancer. Grief was disorienting, and I was grateful to have my therapist alongside me. Over time, my priorities shifted. I realised I wanted to support others in their mental well-being in the way I had been supported.

My Experience

I began volunteering with the Distress Centres of Greater Toronto on the 24-hour local distress line and the Canada Suicide Prevention Service, and as a grief counsellor with the Traumatic Loss Survivor Support Program for people who have lost someone to suicide or homicide. These roles were deeply rewarding. They strengthened my commitment to show up with presence, compassion, respect, and acceptance when people need it most.

In addition to my training and therapy work experiences, I draw upon my life experiences as a filmmaker, husband and father.

“Sometimes a person has to go a very long distance out of his way to come back a short distance correctly.”
