Anxiety
Anxiety is an alarm that tries to protect; it becomes painful when the volume stays high.
It can show up as racing thoughts, tightness in the body, panic, dread, sleeplessness, perfectionism, people pleasing, or avoidance. In our integrative depth approach, care includes both practical relief and work with the roots so change lasts. We aim to turn the volume down enough to restore steadiness, then gently explore what anxiety may be signalling, including learned roles, shame, earlier experiences, identity based stressors, and patterns in current relationships. The pace is collaborative and respectful of readiness.
“I am an old man and have known a great many troubles, but most of them never happened.”
— Mark Twain
How we can help:
Settle body and mind so daily life feels more manageable
Step out of worry loops and build tolerance for uncertainty
Work with perfectionism and harsh self-talk without losing healthy standards
Trace patterns across work, relationships, and creativity, and practise new responses
Explore past experiences that drive hypervigilance, including traumatic or complicated losses
Recognise how culture, identity, and social pressures can amplify threat, and respond in ways that honour your reality
Build routines, boundaries, and connections that protect energy and restore meaning
Prepare for spikes with simple plans that support recovery rather than spiral
Coordinate care when medication may help; we work closely with, and can refer you to, a psychiatrist while continuing therapy
There is no single path through anxiety. Together we combine immediate support with deeper understanding so anxiety becomes information you can work with, and life can widen again.
