Work Challenges

Work can be a source of purpose and pride, and it can also bring pressure, conflict, and fatigue.

Burnout, imposter feelings, perfectionism, people-pleasing, stalled careers, layoffs, moral injury, and toxic dynamics can leave you depleted or doubting yourself. In our integrative depth approach, support addresses what’s happening day to day while exploring the patterns and meanings underneath—early roles (achiever, caretaker, peacekeeper), ties between worth and output, identity-based stressors, money stories, and loyalties that make change hard.

“If you don’t prioritize your life, someone else will.”

Greg McKeown

What the work can include, blending practical and depth pathways:

  • Clarify your personal definition of success; align work with values, not just expectations or fear

  • Draw cleaner boundaries around time, attention, and availability; protect focus and rest

  • Loosen imposter narratives and harsh inner critics; update rules about worth and competence

  • Retire perfectionism, overfunctioning, and chronic pleasing; practise delegation, “good-enough” delivery, and clean no’s

  • Navigate conflict and feedback with steadiness; rehearse language for requests, limits, and repair

  • Process burnout and moral injury; grieve compromises and reconnect with meaning

  • Examine power, equity, and identity dynamics (e.g., racism, sexism, ableism); choose responses that protect dignity and safety

  • Plan transitions—role changes, return-to-office, layoffs, pivots—using small experiments rather than all-or-nothing moves

  • Grow leadership presence grounded in accountability and care; balance authority with collaboration

  • Build systems that fit your brain and body (including neurodiversity) so work is sustainable rather than a constant push

The aim is a work life that fits you: clearer boundaries, steadier confidence, healthier teams and relationships, and a path that feels both effective and true.
